We enjoyed staying at The Square Horse, great base to explore the local area whilst visiting family. Excellent choice of restaurants & other places to eat. Garden area good for the dog first thing in the morning before heading over to the park (when dressed 😅). We will be staying again 😁

Excellent location, very stylish and comfortable. Perfect for our 2 night stay. Nicol very helpful and we will satay again in the future. We stay in lots of accommodation and this was one of the best for value, location and style.

A cosy little retreat which is perfectly located in the lovely village. The accommodation was warm and clean and had everything you would need.

A very comfortable place and always beautifully warm. Nicely furnished, settee and bed both comfortable. Couple of things could be better - there is no storage for clothes in the bedroom just a rack in the spare room. We were there for a week so a chest of drawers in the bedroom would have been useful. In the kitchen there was no spare cupboard space for food and the markings for the grill and oven were almost worn away making setting the right temperature difficult. Someone in the past has also burnt one of the solid oven shelves quite badly. The location is good in a quiet square, own parking space. Nice park across the road for dog walkers. Convenient for amenities (Morrisons five minutes walk) and a good selection of restaurants just round the corner and also regular buses to Leeds. Easy access by car to other routes. Nicol's welcome pack was a nice touch with milk and simple breakfast items.
