This is a cozy spot in Altadena. It’s tucked close to the hills where it’s easy to find a hike close by. The yard is amazing. Our kids love the swings. It feels really safe here and tucked away off the main road. The deck with the morning sun is the perfect spot to have coffee and breakfast.

If you love being in a relaxed and diverse community surrounded by mountains and being close to Los Angeles, yet feeling far away, you will love this spacious. light feeling cottage. Right out the back door is a deck overlooking an ample grassy yard full of mature trees, five always ripe citrus filled trees and also swings, a slide. two climbing structures, a little bouncy horse, picnic table and a doll house. A new stove, an old refrigerator, a vitamix-type appliance, super comfortable bed snd bedding, plenty of pillows, ample, private laundry space, nice large bathroom. The art is plentiful and pretty including one by the owner. The furniture is unique and with character. Plenty of storage. A full desk. Plenty of cabinet space. Sweet, kind neighbors. A feeling of being away from the hubbub. Rich walking and hiking possibilities. Check out Millard Falls: a winding walk thru the forest, crossing streams snd arriving at a very small waterfall. How can you stay close to LA, but still feel like you have a sense of privacy and your kids have enough space to play...this is how. This rental became an Oasis for our family in the middle of a big city. And during our extended stay here, we fell in love with Altadena: the short walk to the library, the coffee shops, and the hiking trails. We’re so thankful we ended up here.

Most Airbnb in this price range in LA are very small and do not offer much. This place was great because it offered a king bed and also a large living room with a futon and a couch. The kitchen was full sized and that was very helpful. It was really lovely to sit on the deck in the sun.
