The house itself was nice and tidy. Joe was very nice and attentive and communicated right away with me. The house Was a bit dusty and stuff were all messy, unorganized, and missing pieces (for example their games) kitchen utensils plates cooking wear, were all mismatch, felt more like second hand things to use. The washing machine that was available to use was super dirty inside. I may sound picky I guess but would’ve been nice to at least have stuff organized and well maintained. But overall the house and stay experience was nice. Be careful that they do charge for like extra car parking and they require a resort fee per stay. But the surrounding area where the house is at is nice and quiet. Very peaceful. Please make sure to get groceries before coming to the house, grocery store near by OakHill Market is super expensive, your better off getting groceries at the Walmart or Albertsons in Paso Robles before coming to the house. Kitchen pans and stuff are incomplete.

Note this is managed by a rental company that requires you to sign an additional contract that is not mentioned in the listing which was a bit frustrating. All turned out fine. With that out of the way, Joe's place was really lovely and suited our large group. A couple minor issues when we arrived (smoke detector disconnected; moldy shower curtain) but we contacted the local host and they immediately remedied both, and were very friendly. The house is quite far out of the way of anything, about 45 minutes from Paso Robles, and no easy hike/walk opportunities. So make a trip for groceries ahead of your stay and plan to stay put and enjoy what the house has to offer, the really stunning balconies complete with multiple seating areas and two gas fire pits. Quiet & peaceful. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and some cool lake fog in the morning. Equipped with everything we need including a nice large kitchen that suited us well. Large comfy couches in common spaces and big TVs with Roku.
