Absolutely 5 stars for this place, it is a hidden gem! James and Hannah were always very responsive and let us check in early, gave us coffee / hot chocolate and some snacks to let us feel at home and the place is so cosy and warm. We loved our stay here and Winchmore Hill is a great suburb to explore as we're settling into London with awesome pubs and cafes.

I loved staying at The Ald Den. It was the perfect small home for several months. The neighborhood is fantastic – filled with good cafes (Limes, Huddle and Pot + Bun were my favorites) and Grovelands Park was beautiful for walks and good grocery stores nearby. You can wake up to bird songs every morning too. Easy access to Winchmore Hill Station and local buses, and of course, Southgate Station for the Tube, Piccadilly Line. The very best thing about being in the Den was getting know both James and Hannah and their two boys! They are wonderful hosts. Very friendly and helpful. I loved, loved, loved staying in the Ald Den and I hope to return again. It was one of my favorite stays.

Great friendly and welcoming host.. wonderful place and we will be staying again. Fantastic location and loads of great restaurants and pubs in a 10 minutes walk. James helped us with onward journeys train times and recommendations. Honesty a wonderful place with easy commuting to central London
