Michael was there ready and waiting for us as we arrived and he took time to show us round the property. The whole house was squeaky clean and spacious. Michael told us about the history of the mill and the work he has carried out to get it up to this magnificent standard. We then met Sue and she was so welcoming to us too. Once we were happy with the place and all the instructions, Michael & Sue left us to start moving in. Our friends then arrived and they were amazed at the property with lots of 'Wows and Oohs' and they were all delighted with their bedrooms. It was very comfortable to stay here and Michael ensured the heating was turned on for us for when we needed it. We had everything we needed and we all felt very comfortable staying here. We would definitely come back here again.

An amazing host! Nothing was too much trouble and very quick to help when needed. A fantastic property for multiple families to relax in with every conceivable thing already thought of to make the stay enjoyable. Great location to access local activities. Couldn’t ask for anything more! We would highly recommend it.

Een fijn huis om als familie samen te zijn! Het huis is voorzien van alles wat je maar nodig kunt hebben. Fijn dat elke slaapkamer een eigen badkamer heeft. Veel serviesgoed aanwezig, wat super handig is. Prachtig plekje ook, op loopafstand van het stadje en de winkels. Enige nadeel is dat de tuin niet direct grenst aan het huis. Het is maar een kleine afstand maar je moet er wel echt naar toe lopen. Een ander (klein) nadeel is dat de woonkamer op de eerste verdieping is, met kleine ramen waardoor het er vaak wat donker is. De eetkamer is wel beneden, direct naast de keuken. We hebben hier een heerlijke week gehad en zouden graag nog eens terug komen.

We had a wonderful stay at the old water mill - a perfect place for a family get together to celebrate a big birthday. Lots of space. Comfortable and quiet bedrooms with lovely en-suites. Excellent dining room with loads of crockery, glasses etc and very well equipped kitchen. Catering for a large number was very easy. We were given basic supplies by Michael and a delicious home made cake which we appreciated. Walking distance to Pickering - a pleasant little town with nice shops and restaurants. A very memorable weekend.

Michael was a great host and was very responsive all the way through our stay - we were also very grateful that Michael accommodated our request for a change in check in time. The house was a very spacious place to stay for 8 adults and 2 children with each room having a large en suite bathroom and a large dining room for us all to eat together. The house is in a great location with lovely walks on the front door, plenty of shops close by in Pickering and a short drive away from the Moors.
