Le logement d'Amarilis a sans doute été ma casa préférée à Cuba. Il faut dire que vous avez littéralement les pieds dans le sable, vue sur la mer depuis la terrasse et un petit bout de plage juste devant la maison, sur lequel vous serez bien tranquille 🙂 La chambre en elle-même est bien équipée et vous offre toute l'intimité nécessaire. Quant à Amarilis et son mari, ils furent d'excellents hôtes, agréables et prêts à vous aider pour organiser au mieux votre séjour à Playa Larga (excursion plongée par exemple). Enfin, mention spéciale pour les dîners proposés par Amarilis (face à la mer, bien entendu), qui comptent probablement parmi les meilleurs repas que j'ai pris durant mon voyage.

Les transats et tables devant la maison sont directement sur la plage. Très agréable de se poser avec vue sur la mer. Durant notre séjour (avril), l'eau était claire et propre. Nous avons donc pu faire du snorkeling depuis la plage. D'autres spots plus fournis en poissons sont accessibles en taxi ou vélo. Le terminal de bus est situé à 25min à pied mais des vélos-taxis attendent pour faire la route si besoin.

Amarilis's place is an absolute dream. I don't know how it could get any better than having the ocean lapping up to your backyard. It really is incredible. I went snorkeling (brought my own equipment) right from their house, and it was absolutely lovely. The water is calm and clear and there are coral growths full of fish and life easily swimmable from the yard. I stayed here for 3 nights and loved every minute. I also took advantage of the offered breakfast and dinner every day I was there which was perfect. I could not have asked for better food! Def bring some bug spray because the mosquitoes in playa larga are energetic, but that comes with the territory and with bug spray is totally fine. I would come back here in a heart beat. Lovely place to stay and absolutely lovely helpful hosts.

Een zalige oase van rust! Als je tijdens het rondtrekken in Cuba er even tussenuit wil en vlak aan je verblijf wil genieten van zon, zee en strand (en lekker ontbijt en/of diner) moet je bij Amarilis zijn! Perfect voor genieters!

The house has direct access to the beach and the host even lets you use their beach beds. The bedroom has air conditioning and we didn’t miss any amenities. Amarillis and her husband are really friendly and give great tips to go around.
