House very clear. I live in new building. Two bathrooms, two restroom - always free. There are soaps, cold water, salt and etc. But I not find tea for guest - need has own. All line of TRAX near. Green line TRAX quickly transfer from/to airport. But near house is single food shop - 7 eleven (30 m). Other food shop - 200 m or 300 m. Both shops are small. I find good shop TRADER JOE only on stop "trolley" red line TRAX. Near house isn't anything interesting. But TRAX work very good and problems with transportion aren't.

Great location and value. Got switched to the new location last minute. As nice as a hotel. Room got a little hot but saw AC units in the hallway so I assume they addressed the matter.

Good place very practical , not less or more that expected. Clean rooms great bathrooms. No a great place to make friends tho, then again if that is what you are looking for.

This review is for the New SLC Hostel (Building A), located immediately east of the Camelot (same owners). I strongly recommend this venue (New SLC Hostel). The single best thing I can say about it is the value. Unlike the proprietors of so many other places that advertise low rent, the proprietors of Camelot and New SLC Hostel don’t nickel and dime their guests (IE, extra fees for cleaning and services). Advertised prices are pretty accurate. Like the Camelot, it has a great location near downtown, by two interstates (I-15 and I-80), and by public transit. I had a single room at a great price. Unlike the Camelot, the facility was new. It was not too congested. Despite the bathrooms and showers being separate from the bedrooms, there was a high ratio of bathrooms and showers to bedrooms. There were so few guests when I stayed that I felt like I had a bathroom and shower to myself. Checkout was simple. Also, the owners were present on site during business hours. Be aware you cannot be a UT resident to stay here. Checkout is at 10. I found the hosts to be more than willing to accommodate requests to extend my stay, but they appear to enforce rules strictly. I get the impression they “vet” their guests because they don’t instantly approve. I believe they have a policy of not allowing guests with criminal records. Whether I agree with policy or not (personal view of allowing second chances), I have not had problems with any other guests. The facility looked EXACTLY like the pictures. I only had two minor issues. First, no air conditioning. Second, the refrigerator reeked. I ended pitching my food. However, these two factors should not deter anyone. For those who are eligible to stay here, this is a steal of a deal. For that reason alone, I am giving five stars to The New SLC Hostel.
