I had a very good stay at Benoit’s apartment. I was really in need of a place to stay during my semester in Paris and the location in the beautiful Marais was perfect. The apartment was equipped with everything announced online, except for the coffee machine, which was damaged at the wire. The heater and everything worked and the apartment’s equipment was great. However, the towels were dirty and the floor was full of hair when I arrived, which is the only thing I can criticise. There were still constructions inside the building, which is why the staircase was always quite dusty, but the workers were very nice and always friendly. All in all, I can recommend this apartment.

I meant to stay in this studio for 6 months, but I decided to leave it after 2 weeks. Pretty impossible to live there one day longer. Benoit was a kind host. But I was not able either to sleep or work in the place. Before arriving, I asked multilple questions about the studio, because I worked from home. So, it is important to me to have a good connection and a quite place. Not a complete honesty about that. It was anything but quiet. I didn't like the fact that Benoit didn't mention the issue with construction work inside the building before I arrived. He told me that internal walls were sound proof, but it felt like they were working inside! I couldn't handle any longer. So, be careful. The listing says " very quite place", but it is not. Benoit told me that anything would finish on November, but talking to workers and seeing th working progress, is going to last so much longer. Overall, I had a really positive experience at Benoit’s apartment & would be happy to stay again in the future. Good points: -A fantastic location; lots of nice cafes nearby, close to food shops, very close to Le Marais, right by Enfants Rouges & close to several Metro stations -Good provision of cleaning supplies, pots & pans, plates, glasses etc. -Benoit was friendly & quick at replying However, I want to flag that there were extensive renovations happening to the structure of the building, including heavy drilling happening on the top floor where this flat is. Consequently, not only was this extremely loud but there was a lot of dust. I was out for most of the days so it wasn’t a massive problem for me, and I did not complain because of this. But I was not made aware of this work when I booked or before I arrived even though the work had clearly been ongoing for a while and this may be an issue for other people. The builders were incredibly friendly & respectful though.

Benoit was a very kind and communicative host. The apartment was cozy and good for one person. There is also a loft storage space not pictured in the photos which is great for luggage. The area is good; right near tons of markets and bustling cafés and easy to walk down to the Seine. There were a handful of issues I encountered with the apartment itself, like a tricky lock, lack of supplies like detergent, dish soap or extra toilet paper, and other issues out of Benoit’s control. But he was extremely responsive and eager to help whenever problems occurred. I thank Benoit for wanting to make my stay as pleasant as possible.
