I had a delightful 4-week stay surrounded by nature and water while working remotely. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, but with Cynthia's help, I installed my brought Starlink. Renting a bike from Cynthia was essential for getting around, though crossing the highway felt unsafe at night. The cabin's kitchen lacked proper equipment and had limited fridge space. Wildlife encounters were expected. The hut was uncomfortably hot and lacked ventilation. The adjacent parking area could get noisy. There were no nearby food options, but the cabin offered great value for money. Being close to Cenote Azul was a fantastic bonus. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and secure. Cynthia and the staff were friendly and helpful. Despite minor drawbacks, the serene environment, friendly staff, and Cynthia's hospitality made for a memorable stay. Highly recommended for an affordable nature-filled retreat.

Nice place. Short distance from Central Bacalar and the lagoons. I recommend renting a bike, scooter, or car. It’s a little too far to walk conveniently. The room is simple. Clean with a nice bed and linens. The bathroom is simple with toilet, shower, and sink. Wi-Fi in the room isn’t great, I would say it worked more often then not. Probably not good enough to work, but worked most of the time to watch videos. No AC, it can get a little hot. Service from the staff was great. I really enjoyed this place. It was simple, safe, and very inexpensive.
