This is a lovely family home, where the host makes you feel like longtime friends being welcomed for a visit. Everything that you need for a proper vacation is here - all the dishes and cooking utensils, lots of comfy chairs and excellent bedrooms, shelves of good books and games, and a lake, beach and dock a short walk down the hill. The house is part of an association of camp-owners who were also very welcoming as everybody was there to see the eclipse. The weather and environment were perfect on this early spring day, and the house would be comfortable any season of the year. It is but a short drive into town if you need groceries or want to visit the Wild Center, or go a little further to other Adirondack attractions, but you can easily spend your whole visit just at the house, in the woods and on the lake. Canoes were made available and the lake would have rewarded day long paddles. The beach was perfect for little kids and parents. Bruce was very helpful but not intrusive.

We had a great stay in this house! We were a 7 person multigenerational group and the house had space for everyone. The property is beautiful, the house was very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The location between Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake is fantastic. Bruce is a very friendly, responsive and knowledgeable host. The only challenge we had was that the 86 year old in our party with mobility issues found it a little challenging to get in and out in the winter with the snow and ice. And it took almost 24 hours to warm up the house in the frigid temps when we arrived, but once the house got warm, it was toasty for the rest of the stay. I would definitely stay here again, especially in summer with the lake access!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bruce’s. The location was convenient to a lot of things such as Tupper Lake, Saranac, Lake, and Lake Placid. But at the same time there was a lot of privacy and feeling that you had no neighbors, which was nice.

We had a wonderful stay at Bruce’s place. The location is great between Tupper and Saranac Lakes. It is also not a far drive to Lake Placid. Bruce was extremely welcoming and easy to contact. We had no issues during our stay. Would definitely recommend to friends and would come back in the future.

A really great location in the Adirondacks. The house is set back from neighbors and was extremely relaxing.
