A very special place, excellent for groups of friends. Perfect location, close both to the train station, shops, the old town. The rooftop terrace is absolutely magical. Elena was a wonderfully kind and responsive hostess. Two things to take into consideration: (1) the elevator is super small and thus the place is not accessible for wheelchairs or large strollers; (2) the entrance to the flat is shared with another tenant (the host’s friend) and the doors that separate the two flats cannot be locked.

Elena is a fantastic host—very kind, generous, and helpful. My parents and I spent three nights in Elena’s flat and had the pleasure of meeting her on our last day. Elena’s flat is a true gem. Situated a 10-15 minute walk from the cathedral, the flat is spacious and beautifully decorated, making you feel right at home. After a long day of exploring Genoa, it was a delight to relax in the winter garden, enjoying the view of the harbour. I highly recommend Elena's flat!

Carlotta, die Tochter von Elena, hat uns wie abgemacht empfangen. Der Kontakt war freundlich und kommunikativ. Zu unserer Erleichterung hatte es einen kleinen Lift, der uns mit all unserem Gepäck in die Wohnung brachte. Die Wohnung war perfekt für uns. Alles, was wir brauchten war vorhanden. Wir haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Der Wintergarten und die Terrasse haben unser Glück abgerundet. Der Blick über die Dächer von Genua bis hin zum Hafen war wunderschön. Zum Klang der Kirchenglocken konnten wir uns bei einem Glas Wein von unseren Erkundungen auf der Terrasse erholen. Das Quartier hat uns sehr gut gefallen, vor allem die Piazza del Carmine hatte es uns angetan. Ein lebhafter Platz, auf dem sich die ganze Nachbarschaft tummelte. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten konnten wir gut zu Fuss erkunden und waren wir einmal zu müde dazu, nahmen wir den 39er oder 40er Bus nach Hause. Wir haben unsere Ferien sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wieder bei Elena anklopfen. Vielen herzlichen Dank!

What a special place this is! Stunning apartment, spacious enough for two families with teenage kids (who loved the ping pong and table football), all the amenities we needed and lovely location in the historic carmine district. The terrace is beautiful and such a relaxing place to sit, read, chat and enjoy incredible views of 'la superba' Genoa. Elena and her daughter Carlotta were super responsive and shared brilliant recommendations so we enjoyed our week in Genoa all the more. There are great restaurants, grocery shops and authentic bakeries on the doorstep and a short walk takes you to the heart of the city. It was also easy to get to the station to take a train down the coast, we loved Camogli on the portofino peninsula. Finally, the apartment is brilliant value! Overall we can find little to fault and are grateful to Elena and Carlotta for the warm welcome to their unique apartment!
