Are you planning a winter Lake Arrowhead Getaway? If so, we strongly advise you to be prepared for any snowy, icy, and/or steep terrain you may encounter. Private roads in particular can often be challenging at this time of year, so you'll want to make sure your car has suitable tire chains as an added layer of protection. Without them, your tires won't be able to gain the traction they need on snowy or icy roads; and having them is especially important when traveling on hills that can be slippery and hazardous without the proper protective measures in place. If you are arriving on a snowy day CHP may have checkpoints set up and will not allow you to proceed without chains. So before you embark on your journey, do yourself a favor and invest in some quality tire chains before heading off on your adventure.
