I've stayed in the Davis/Thomas area a few times now, and I think Michael's home is my favorite. The place has so much character, with photography and local artists decorating the walls. It truly feels like a home. Everything was clean and comfortable. The community was scenic, peaceful, and the grounds very much cared-for. The location is just perfect--5 min drive into town, a few minutes longer to reach Blackwater Falls State Park, and about a 10 min drive to access hiking in Dolly Sods. Additionally there are some great local trails just down the road at the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge. So much to rave about, but I guess the two things that really made this home stand out for me from other Airbnbs is the late check-out on Sunday, and that my dog felt truly welcome, not just tolerated.

Loved staying here! Michael made it easy to check in and feel right at home. We had large dogs and the fenced in deck made it so easy to let them out. Large pond and lots of room to walk around. Would definitely stay again

Great place to stay. I didnt get to enjoy it much since i was working nights but my fiance and the kids enjoyed it very much.

Overall, the stay at this cabin was absolutely wonderful. We were able to take our three boys here and made some incredible memories at the cabin and at the falls. The house was very well maintained and extremely comfortable and made our entire weekend so welcoming, warm and inviting and memorable. I highly recommend this property to those of you with families needing some time away! Great location, great property, great cabin and the host was efficient and very friendly and helpful.
