Can't beat the location or the price. 5 minutes walk to a great sandy beach. Lots of great restaurants and shops.

Ed was a friendly and welcoming host. The location of this apartment is amazing - walking distance to downtown La Jolla, to all the coves, and an easy Uber away from Torrey Pines. Ed was flexible with check in times which was also great. He communicated that the space is near and dear to him and his family, as it’s been their property for a few generations now. While the location is awesome, the space is a nice layout, and the apartment is priced well, I think a few key improvements could really take this place from good to great (i.e., replacing the stained furniture / chairs, adding a top sheet to the bed, getting a less squeaky mattress, repainting the walls where there’s years of wear and tear). All in all, good spot for a long weekend when you’re out and about, felt like I got what I paid for, and I enjoyed my time!

Great location. Easy to find. I can’t say enough nice things about Ed’s place. It was a block away from a great beach. My favorite restaurant El Pescador is walking distance as well as other eateries and shops. The neighborhood was chill and quiet which made it nice when sleeping with the windows open. I can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend!

The location is the most important aspect of this Airbnb-it’s about a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach spot and lots of cafes/restaurants. The space is adequate for a few nights stay, especially if you aren’t going to be inside much. It’s a bit run down with a creaky bed, but it has the basics (really good Wi-Fi) and some extras like plenty of towels which was great. There’s no a/c but there are plenty of windows and a small fan so we were comfortable in that regard. Because of needing the windows open, you can hear anyone who walks by on the street, the other units are very close to each other, and the neighbors are super close as well, making it so you can hear everyone and everyone can hear you. This may not be an issue for others, but for me I prefer a bit more privacy. Check in and out was very easy and Ed was very responsive to any of my messages.

We enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb due to its fantastic beach proximity and our host's responsiveness. We also appreciated the amenities (beach towels, hairdryer, and coffee provided). Thanks again for hosting us!
