At the heart of 1066 country, in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this cosy cottage is nestled among the trees in a peaceful, rural location on the edge of Robertsbridge, perfect for exploring the countryside and coast nearby. Keen gardeners will find us ideally placed for the gardens at Perch Hill, Great Dixter and Sissinghurst, or history buffs will adore our proximity to Battle and castles at Bodiam and Scotney. Newly renovated, the third cottage in our portfolio is a cosy single-storey space and boasts an open-plan kitchen-living room with wood-burning stove, fully-fitted kitchen, dining table, 2-seater sofa, smart TV, board games and books. The bathroom is chic and modern with walk-in shower and the cosy bedroom features a king-size bed, with Simba Hybrid mattress, dressing table and hanging rail (we thought a king size bed and a narrower space either side was better than a double and plenty of space either side since you spend more time in bed than getting in or out and we hope you agree!). Patio doors open out from the bedroom onto the patio and fully fenced private garden.

Lovely cottage for a weekend away
Perfect location for a relaxing weekend away. The place has been stunningly decorated and well equipped. So many lovely little touches which made our visit perfect, and the enclosed garden was ideal for the dog! The log burner is just what we needed after long countryside walks. Will definitely stay again in the future!
A wonderful stay at a beautiful cottage - everything was spotless, the space was thoughtfully kitted out with everything you and more, and each room was beautifully decorated. Very easy to locate, peaceful surroundings, plenty of touristy spots nearby and the farm shop at the top of the lane is fab! Would highly recommend ☺️
A true gem! Absolutely beautiful and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. It was spotless and so well decorated. Felt like a home from home. The fireplace was so cosy. The hosts Georgina and her husband were very friendly and welcoming. So much to do in the area and the perfect break away. Couldn’t recommend it enough and will definitely come back.

Charming Robertsbridge isn’t just a pretty face, with two pubs, an Indian restaurant, cafe, two food stores, Boots pharmacy and a gift shop, there are plenty of amenities within walking distance from the property.
Tipsy Cottages is a charming 15 minute walk from the village pub, 20 minutes’ walk from the station, and each cottage is equipped with torches for that post-pub stumble.
There’s a Farmshop an idyllic 5-minute walk away via our private track.

We first saw Tipsy Cottages in May 2021 and it was love at first sight. Before we knew it, we’d sold our East London home and moved to the countryside. We’ve spent every moment since restoring the cottages and gardens to their former glory and we’re passionate about our gorgeous corner of the world and the surrounding area. We love sharing it with our guests and hope you love it as much as we do.
