Casa Comala is perfectly situated where we were 10 minutes to downtown yet far enough from the hustle and bustle of all the tourism and noise of the city. Very tranquil property and a very responsive host. It also helped that she is fluent in English and well versed with all things to do in San Miguel. She provided great recommendations of restaurants, art galleries and historic sights. We highly recommend this property (we stayed in the green bungalow), and we'll definitely be back.

I stayed here for 2 weeks then decided to stay for 2 months while I wait in my rentals to be ready. I love this place!!! It’s so peaceful and the night sky is fabulous!!!! There is a very nice restaurant and market just next door with art galleries. You’ll love your stay here as well.

Place was what we expected. Nevertheless, management has a lot of room for improvement. There are fees involved on top of Airbnb that were a bit hidden, in my opinion (as 7 USD to verify identity, which seems unnecessary when Airbnb has already verified you as guest). Also the charge for pets changed 3 times. I paid it, and at check-out they tried to charge me again. Had to push a few days later for the money return. I don’t know. I want to think it was miss management.

The best way to arrive to Casa Comala is by car, and we have parking inside the property. This provides the most convenience and flexibility when traveling, allowing you to come and go as you please while having your vehicle at your disposal.
For those who do not have access to a car during their stay in San Miguel de Allende, I offer a safe driver recommendation who is familiar with the city’s layout and can take guests wherever they need without needing them to search for parking spaces or be concerned about safety issues along the way. Our driver has years of experience navigating around town quickly yet safely so that our guests don’t miss out on any sightseeing opportunities due to time constraints or worries over finding adequate transportation options from one place to another.
