Perfect place to stay for a visit to Acadia National park and all the surrounding day trips on the beautiful coast of Maine. The location was great. Although the park area and Bar Harbor can be quite busy, Susan’s place is truly off in the “woods of Maine” but only a few minutes ride from all of our destinations. How nice it was to come back to the serenity of the woods after day tripping around the island. The apartment was instantly comfortable. Knotty pine interior with ample space, great rugs, beautiful bathroom, nice compact kitchen area, and a great deck over looking the area. We had never been out East to that area so we just kinda picked the place off of Airb&b. After spending 10 days in the area, and traveling through Ellsworth, Birch Harbor, Blue Hill, Stonington and all around Mt. Desert island, I don’t think we could have found a better place for our”Coast of Maine” road trip. The place is also only 10 min away from two great lobster pounds in Trenton. Thank you Susan.

It was just the sort of place we like. It was clean, nothing fancy, but lots of windows and patio doors for lots of fresh air. The large 12' high deck with a nice view of the water was wonderful. It doesn't have AC but we had no need of it. The path to the dock is somewhat challenging but well worth the effort. Think of a steep hiking trail of a 100 feet or so. It's located in the quiet part of the island and a really nice peaceful spot. We have 2 daughters who want to visit Acadia and we will recommend this to them.

Quiet, 20 minutes away from everything. Bed and house was comfortable, shower was great and a great view from the back porch. For us it was ideal.
