Our eclectic style is casual & fresh with lots of amenities. Your bedroom has its own private deck looking across the yard to an old cypress barn. Only 7 minutes to downtown Lafayette. Relax & Cook & Dine on the screen porch! Lots of amenities for cooking & baking. Gas range, Microwave and Air Fryer. Bar Accessories. Gardens and outdoor seating Of course, we have included the necessities to "work from home' while you are at the guesthouse with dedicated workspaces & robust internet. You will have access to the whole house which consists of one bedroom with a private deck and one bathroom with tub and shower. The open concept kitchen and living area is packed with amenities. The kitchen has a gas range, air-fryer, microwave and lots of "chef's gear" for baking and cooking for" foodies". The living room has a comfy conversation sofa and a recliner. Lots of entertainment with musical instruments, a record player and record collection. The TV has Netflix and Hulu, and lots of books in the library. The bedroom has a queen size gel foam bed and ceiling fan. There is a private deck and view of the barn from the bedroom. The internet is a robust fiber system---many of our guests work from home, so we have two dedicated workstations---one in the bedroom and one in the living room. There is a printer and basic office supplies The huge screen porch is a special feature. It has a daybed and big dining table. Access to the full size washer and dryer is off the screen porch. This is also the access to the outdoor kitchen and dining area.

wonderful cozy little place with nice outdoor space and the host has the friendliest boxer that will peek in at you from time to time if you in the screened in Patio area. Paz and Eleanor are excellent host thank you guys for the stay.
A wonderful place to stay. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils. The location is close to town and comfortable to sit in the living room.
The Cameron is beautiful. How nice to take a guitar off the wall and play a little music for your very own homecoming. The kitchen practically invites you to cook and there is a wonderful carniceria down the street that offers fresh tortillas, excellent produce and delicious marinated meats at very affordable prices. Paz told us about the carniceria and lots of other stops on the never-ending always rewarding DIY Lafayette food tour. Paz is one-of-a-kind. So glad we chose this airbnb.
Paz and Eli were helpful when needed. The space is such an amazing spot for a week long stay. Location is convenient for us-only 5 mins from Cajundome. Because it’s off a main business road, we had to get used to finding it at night and location wasn’t the best for walking our dog due to no sidewalks and busy business traffic. BUT we found a perfect spot to walk her every day that wasn’t far from the house. The yard in front and back are great space to use as well. The use of the back porch off the bedroom is super cute for fresh air and time outside. The outdoor dining off the side of the home is adorable as well. We appreciated the laundry room access. The place was very clean and had lots of cute items to explore - looooved the books and the instruments were cool as well. Grateful for a peaceful and safe stay!!
Staying at Paz's place in Lafayette was quite relaxing for my wife and I as well as our two dogs. A fenced in yard for them, and a clean, comfortable small house for us. Well-appointed, particularly in the kitchen, which we did not use all that much as we were in town a few weeks back to eat the local cuisine and attend the Festival Acadiens et Creoles. Also all the TV programming one could want, mostly used at the end of a day spent exploring. I would recommend Paz's place without reservation.

Our unique neighborhood is in an older section of Lafayette that is mixed commercial & residential & Industrial. We have three adjacent homes in this neighborhood. We use the homes as guesthouses and they are sometimes occupied by our family members. We love the central location and for 12 years, we have enjoyed living in this unique neighborhood. Each of our homes have great privacy and a sense of being in a country setting while close to the city.
The large backyard has a view of our old cypress barn and an expansive green space. So--lots of space and privacy in a unique setting.
Our location is easily accessible to major thoroughfares. There is some noise from traffic during morning drive time 7am-9am on weekdays. Guests report (and we agree!) that inside the home, the street noise is negligible. You can sometimes hear a train. We have trees that buffer noise and a large parking area for 2 cars. We can also accommodate a moving van or oversized work vehicle.
Interstate 10 and 49 are a quick 7 minutes drive. We are 5 to 10 minutes drive to downtown, festival sites, fine dining, music venues and parks. The swamp tours and Breaux Bridge are about 20 minutes away, and Avery Island (Tabasco) is about 45 minutes. We often host guests who need accommodations for 1 to 3 months. Let us know your specifics so that we can accommodate you.
Off street parking includes spacious gravel parking area and walkways to the front and side doors.
The neighborhood is quiet and easy to drive to all parts of Lafayette via Ambassador Cafferty and University Drive. Both interstate 10 and 49 and less than 7 minutes away. This is a great location for using Uber and Lift.
