This is a breathtaking property, perched high in the hills with incredible views. We will miss the beautiful sunsets and the quiet surroundings. The property has a very large common area that was great for family activities. The kitchen was spacious and the place was very clean (the property gave us some warnings about bugs, but we had no issues during our mid-March visit). We had excellent weather—no rain or snow, just clear skies. Even in good conditions, the drive is a little intimidating (up narrow gravel roads). That’s kind of the price for such a remote location and the views though, and after driving the gravel road a couple of times, we became pretty comfortable with the route. (The advice to arrive during daylight is sound!). Overall, great place to stay.

We are repeat travelers to this magical cabin, which, at this point is one of our very favorite places. It’s not inexpensive, but for us, the incomparable peace, privacy and surrounding natural beauty are completely worth the investment. Thank you, Stay Charlottesville — we will be back (again)!

We loved this retreat so incredibly much. The main room had a full wall of windows so we could take in panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The amenities were perfect -- excellent kitchen, comfortable rooms, beautiful patio which we couldn't stay away from, thoughtful details like candles and board games. Kind and friendly neighbors. The location is so incredibly gorgeous. Hosts are incredibly responsive. If you want to stay on the property and don't plan on leaving that often, then we'd highly recommend -- it had everything we possibly wanted. Internet was a bit spotty -- good enough if you're relaxing, but could be challenging if you're planning to work remotely. The only tricky thing about this location is the drive -- as the host clearly states, it's on a remote, narrow, gravel mountain road. Please read and follow the host's instructions, which were very detailed and ensured we didn't get lost. Thank you!

Absolutely gorgeous and unique home — the views are unbeatable. Clean and cozy. Perfect stay for anyone wanting to get off the grid for a peaceful weekend :)
