Keen to relax? On our spacious lot, right next to the N834 and within walking distance of the historic centre of Buren, is this hiker's hut. A sober stay and the place to be for those keen to go return to a simpler life. Welcome to De Trekkershut, where simplicity meets coziness and nature! Our cabins are basically furnished with two camp beds, a practical desk with chair, and a cozy outdoor seating area including a fire pit, perfect for those fresh evenings under the stars. Although bedding is not included as standard, you can easily bring your own or order it from us. During your stay, you can make free use of our cozy communal kitchen and living room, where you can meet other guests and share experiences. Of course, clean and accessible toilet and shower facilities are available. Did you know that our grounds are rich in fruit trees? During your stay, we invite you to enjoy fresh fruit, picked directly from the tree—as much as you like! We also offer a number of extras that can make your stay even more enjoyable: • A delicious breakfast for €12.50 per person • Bedding, pillow, and towel for €6.50 per person • Firewood for the fire pit for €7.50 per crate • Use of the jacuzzi for €15.00 per 2 hours (from April 1 to October 1) • Charging e-bikes for only €1.00 per kWh • An electric heater for €1.00 per kWh • Use of the washing machine, including detergent, for €4.00 per wash • A cozy pot stove with 5 tea lights for €2.50 We kindly ask you to pay for any extras in cash, or by debit or credit card upon arrival. Although our site is next to the N834, and the traffic can be clearly heard, this does not interfere with the high rating we consistently receive on Airbnb. Amazing place, a real fairy tale in the country side! It was a great choice to accommodate for our working trip. I wish we had more free time to enjoy all the comfort of the camp! Surely will be back for a holiday! Judy is amazing host! Thank you for having us as guests!
wij hebben 1 nachtje door mogen brengen in de trekkershut en gebruik gemaakt vh ontbijt. We hebben genoten vd sfeer die hoort bij 'onderweg' zijn. Judy is een fantastische gastvrouw. Vriendelijk, open en heel toegankelijk. Ook hebben we ve heerlijk ontbijt genoten. de broodjes die over waren mochten we meenemen voor de lunch. hoe leuk en vriendelijk, is dat! lekker rustig plekje op loopafstand van t mooie ministadje Buren. heerlijke omgeving voor fietsen en wandelen. zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw. de hut is klein en basic maar gezellige en uitgebreide gezamenlijke zitruimte en keuken! het heeft ons aan niets ontbroken!

We live in the middle of the fruit-growing region of the Netherlands, right on the outskirts of the small town of Buren - a town with a strong historic link to the Dutch royal family. Our property is located near De Korne, a small river which flows into De Linge - which in turn is the longest river in the Netherlands and renowned for its beauty. Where we live, people still have time for each other.
Although the town is small, it is truly worth a visit. Feel free to stay a night or more to be part of the town - hiking or biking to discover, explore and experience, or simply to cocoon for a few days in your lovely accommodation.
The heart of the town of Buren is reached within a 10 minute walk. Here you will find the St. Lambertus church where, at the age of 18, Prince William of Orange married his Anna van Buren in the year 1551. You'll also find the windmill 'Prince of Orange' and many delicious restaurants and cafes. In the morning you can either enjoy a breakfast prepared for you by us, or visit our beautiful local bakery situated in the ancient town-wall of Buren.
Exit our property through the back entrance, and you can walk a beautiful 5-30 km footpath along the beautifully landscaped city-park, the many fruit-tree nurseries of this region and, while on your way, maybe even visit Dirk and Arina at 'Het Betuws Wijndomein', where you can enjoy their renowned wine, ranked amongst Europe's best.
You can park for free in the residential area behind our house.
