We really enjoyed our time together as a family at Andrew's Upper Meadow Lodge. There was snow on the ground so we all enjoyed the outdoors and the indoors. There was a bunch of puzzles (most 1000 pieces), board games, and plenty of space for everyone to be free to do as they wanted with their time. The scenery and quite neighborhood was wonderful! The entire home was a delight and worked very well for the 6 adults and 5 kids in our group. We could have even invited a few more and still have plenty of space. The piano was a surprise but added to the fun! We would recommend this beautiful lodge to anyone. Thank you Andrew.
I can’t say enough great things about this place! It was the perfect retreat for family from all over to get together and enjoy ourselves! The property is beautiful and communication was excellent!
So pleased with our stay! The property and home were even better than expected. Gorgeous sunset views from the house, forested area for the kids to play in the back, and lots of privacy. We had a group of 16 people and had no problem with sleeping arrangements. The common living area is expansive and perfect for group meals, hanging out, game playing, etc. We were already discussing returning in the future before we left. Highly recommend!
This was a wonderful place. Andrew has made very nice upgrades to this lodge. the bedrooms were wonderful, with nice comfortable beds and linens. There were extra nice items like a 3 way charger on the night stand. Make-up washcloths, nice soaps. The upstairs had plenty of room and also high quality beds and linens. The kitchen was fully stocked with almost everything. My only complaint was there was no empty cabinets to uload our food for the week. Maybe leave a few places to store our food supplies. Weloved the 4k TV, speakers and oh what fun streaming services no one could get bored. With super comfy sofas and extra chairs. Extra nice touches with a large dinning table and another table for games or crafts. plus the view was spectacular. thank you so much.
Andrew is very friendly, the cabin is great, the view is beautiful and good trails, we would definitely stay again soon…

Beautiful, quiet area at the top of Palomar Mountain. The property boasts 17.7 private acres of fern meadow and forest, including a cedar grove with trees over 350 years old. Palomar Mountain State park is only two and a half miles down the road, and the general store is a great stop for some snacks or forgotten items.
Plenty of parking on the property, but you'll need your own vehicle to get around on Palomar.
