Audrey & Jeroen were incrediby communicative and helpful. They provided a wealth of local knowledge, so it felt as though we had been to the area before. Their villa is remarkable. If you are a couple, or a family or just looking to enjoy a peaceful and beautiful villa, this is the one for you! Enjoy the sunsets by the pool, cook up a nice BBQ on the deck, or a quick drive down to town will do the trick. We were 6 during our stay, and everyone felt as though we had enough room to relax on our own, but also enjoyed the beautiful common areas spaces together. Not sure when we are headed back to Montenegro next, but when we do, it will be in this villa! Thanks to you, Audrey & Jeroen!
We had a family gathering and the Villa worked perfectly. It is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate 8. The Villa is new and high end: new appliances, high quality materials, fixtures, furniture. The host was very responsive, answered questions and provided recommendations. A middle of the week cleaning service and a mini bar were nice touches. The place ODS very private, at least until more villas are brought online. It is car dependent but so are most places in Montenegro. On the positive side great beach clubs (lazure and portonovi) were within 15 min drive.
There are many splendid villas along the Montenegrin coast, but this one is really stunning. From the kitchen with its enormous island, to the real artwork on the walls, the swimming pool for our morning dive, excellent bedding and the high sound quality of music! We liked the location very much. You can dream away overlooking the bay of Kotor. What we did, is making use of the facilities at the ultra-luxury resort One & Only. The spa we can really recommend. Also, we spend a day at their beach club Tapasake. You just pay for a day, I believe it was 30 Euro per person and you can eat for this amount at their mouth-watering restaurant and enjoy the high level of services. The owners Audrey & Jeroen, are also great to communicate with to prepare our trip. What sets the experience apart is the customer service that accompanied our stay. The personal concierge approach provided by Milos is unparalleled. He arranged taxis for us, ordered delicious pizza with delivery to the villa.
What a beautiful villa with achingly beautiful views. The area is such an undiscovered gem. I almost would prefer to keep it a secret before anyone finds out. The villa is almost a new build in a gated area in which they are building a few new villa behind. The road near the entrance is not for the faint hearted but it is worth it for the uninterrupted views. Great supermarkets are a short drive away as well as great restaurants in the local town - don’t forget to try the tuna steak, a local delicacy to die for! Will be back!
The villa is on a gated private property against the mountain slope of the village Podi, close to the vibrant art city Herceg Novi and close to the Dubrovnik airport (or even Tivat airport). The nearest marina is at a 5 minutes drive to Lazure Marina & Hotel.
Herceg Novi is a medieval city. The old town (Stari Grad) is more than 600 years old and was established during the Ottoman Empire and represents great fusion of history and culture, tradition and spirituality, past and modern time. You can stroll along the longest boulevard of the Balkans (7 km) with its restaurants and bars.
Montenegro is one of Europe’s most captivating places, truly authentic and nature is breathtaking, but if you are seeking for high level service you could visit European's first ultra luxury resort brand One & Only. Have a nice diner at Tapa Sake or enjoy the entire day at their sun beds, sea loungers or cabana with nice cocktails and with a delightful lunch or diner.
Other interesting great developments are Portonovi and Luštica Bay which are idyllic Mediterranean-style villages set amid the wild beauty of Montenegro’s glorious UNESCO-protected Boka Bay mountains. Don't forget to visit Porto Montenegro with its very large berths for super yachts, high-end boutiques & upscale restaurants which easily beats the luxury harbour of Monaco and the ones at the French Riviera. Beach clubs you can find anywhere, like Nikki Beach, Buddha-Bar with its 64m infinity pool, Adriatica with beach sand from Mauritius, Bocasa etc. Worth to visit is also Aman Sveti Stefan, a graceful stone residence with 15th-century stone cottages set on a pink sand beach.
UNESCO's World Heritage Boka Kotorska, or Kotor Bay, is a place of stunning natural beauty and a member of the association for the "Most Beautiful Bays in the World". It’s the southern-most fjord in Europe - a vast butterfly shaped expanse of water enclosed by breathtaking mountain scenery.
At the head of the fjord lies the old city of Kotor, which became a protected UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979. Narrow alleyways open out onto preserved piazzas, churches and palaces. The awe-inspiring 12th century city walls climb 200m up the sheer mountain face and form an impressive backdrop to Kotor’s annual Venetian carnival.
By car it’s approximately half an hour to UNESCO site Perast. The beautiful historic village of Perast with its 2 islets, is littered with the preserved palaces of 17th century Venetian merchants and sea captains, each vying for the best view over to the beautiful island monastery of St. George. The other island “Our Lady of the Rocks” you can visit by boat.
Be enchanted by the beauty and hospitality of Montenegro.
