The Penn Cove house was an ideal place for our extended family to come together and stay for a special weekend. Given the uncertain spring weather, we needed both outside and inside gathering options. The game room and upstairs lounge kept younger family occupied while the elders caught up. (The house is so expansive that I didn't realize until the last day that I hadn't seen all of the rooms!) It did take some advance planning and discussions with the host to ensure our activities for the weekend would respect the home, e.g. like everyone bringing slippers (though the radiant floors reward those only wearing socks). Yong handled security deposits/refunds smoothly. Note that the piano IS in the center of the main room though it only showed in one photo. It ended up not really being in the way when fewer family members than expected joined us. The A/V system is complicated. Even with the host’s help casting our laptop to it, we never quite got the result we hoped to share family videos.

We had a wonderful family getaway and thoroughly enjoyed the house, hot tub and the wonderful view of the water. We appreciated the labels on the kitchen cabinets and drawers making it much easier to find items and put them back where they belonged. The shuffleboard table was a huge hit with the teens and young adults. It was also great to have some bedrooms farther away so those who go to bed early were not bothered by the group that stayed up very late enjoying karaoke. This was the perfect place for our family getaway.

This was our second stay and we loved it. The beautiful yard, short walk to the beach, and roomy space were perfect for our group.

It was a wonderful stay for our group of 12 Bunco ladies! It was clean with great kitchen amenities, and that large screen/TV. It was perfect for March Madness! Yong was super responsive and professional. If we choose Whidbey again, we'll be back!

Our stay at Yong's place was absolutely fantastic! The breathtaking view added an extra layer of magic to the experience. The indoor space was generous, allowing us to relax and unwind comfortably. Yong's hospitality was exceptional. He was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and considerate throughout our stay. A true testament to his thoughtfulness was when he graciously extended our checkout time without us even needing to ask, taking daylight saving into account.
