The cabin is one of the oldest on the island. Ebba did a wonderful job in renovating it. The surrounding is beautiful; The island is a magical and enchanted paradise with very friendly locals. Although you get the full benefit of solitude here, if you feel the need to see people, the ferry can easily take you for a quick trip to Vaxholm with its stylish boutiques. The whole place has a modern Astrid Lindgren 'Saltkråkan / Seacrow island' feel to it. We picked blueberries and porcini in the garden and paddled the kayak to the next grocery store to buy lovely cheese and baguette. The private deck with access to the Baltic Sea and the sauna in the boat house are priceless! We loved every second here and felt at home right away. Thank you Ebba and Carl-Magnus for your hospitality.

Was für ein wunderschönes Areal! Das Ensemble bestehend aus Bootshaus, Haupthaus und Gästehaus ist traumhaft gelegen und bietet atemberaubende Ausblicke. Wie fantastisch ist es, einfach früh morgens aufzustehen, mit Cafe und Badetuch in der Hand die paar Meter über Steg oder Wiese zu gehen, um dann die herrliche Ruhe am klaren Wasser zu genießen und ein paar einsame Schwimmzüge zu tätigen. Die Kinder liebten das braune Boot, das Standuppaddel und die Kanus sehr und hatten unglaublich viel Spaß. Der Wald hinter dem Haus ist herrlich und nicht zu vergessen die unzähligen Blaubeeren im schönen Garten. Es ist wirklich ein kleines liebes Paradies! Innen ist es sehr hübsch eingerichtet, mit einem passenden Farbkonzept und stilvollen Accessoires, die wunderbar zueinander passen. Die Sauna ist natürlich grandios und wir haben sie sehr genossen. Auch an die KompostToilette aussen haben wir uns sofort gewöhnt. Es war einfach alles unglaublich schön: für Groß und Klein und Hund!

On arrival with rented boat, that we had for the whole week, the first impression was the marvellous ambiente - and the negative impression was the outside toilet that some Austrian farms had till the end of the sixties...

This place is nearly to good to be true. Be prepared to experience very special days on this incredible little island. Nature, blueberries, great fjord water, stunning views, sunsets, sauna, boats … it’s all there. A little paradise remote enough to completely switch to relax mode, but still easy to reach from Stockholm or Vaxholm. Ebba was a perfect host answering all questions within minutes and providing us with many great tips. If you look to experience something special: don’t look further. You’ll find it here for sure! Best place we’ve been to in Sweden so far! We will be back!

We loved our week-long stay at Ebba's cottage! It was just what our family needed to disconnect, refresh, and spend quality time together in the summer. The cottage is even more lovely than in the pictures! Beautifully maintained, clean, with a lovely main deck that provides spectacular views of the archipelago which we enjoyed all day at the outside table. The sauna and direct access to the sea was a huge plus. Whilst the island is small, it is perfect for a peaceful (and fun!) getaway. Part of the draw is there are no cars, just sunlit nature paths and the sound of the sea. It is out in the archipelago, but conveniently only about 30 minutes by local ferry boat to the main terminal (cute town, stores, restaurants, etc). In preparation for our stay, Ebba provided comprehensive instructions and responded to us immediately as we had some questions about staying on an island with no services. The overall experience was just wonderful!
