Historic Georgian home circa 1800 in the heart of the Bourbon capital. Purchased by a coppersmith, Adam Anthony in 1809 for 3000 gallons of whiskey. A home away from home that will take you back in time while still affording you the comforts of modern amenities. Original hardwood floors of ash and poplar, new mattresses, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and plenty of free parking. You are a block from all shopping, dining, and nightlife of downtown Bardstown. Bourbon capital of the world! This house was built circa 1800. The first actual record of it is the deed from 1809 when it was sold to the coppersmith, Adam Anthony. He made copper distillation stills for local farmers so that they could distill their own whiskey. He purchased the house for 3,000 gallons of whiskey! This historic home will take you back in time while still affording you the comforts of modern amenities. A couple years ago, this home underwent a 15-month renovation. As many of the original components of the house were kept/restored as possible, including the original hardwood floors made from ash and poplar woods. First Floor: Kitchen: When you walk in, you are greeted to a short hallway that leads to the updated kitchen. It is fully equipped with a gas range, full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. There is also a coffee nook that includes a drip coffee/k cup machine, a pour over coffee carafe, and a French press coffee container. Along with k-cups/sweeteners/creamers and a hot water kettle. There is also a washer and dryer located in the kitchen if you need to clean come clothes during your stay. Dining room: In the dining room, you will find a dining table that can seat 6 comfortable. Along with a cocktail station and many whiskey drinking glasses. Living room: A couch that turns into a bed, along with two comfortable chairs. There is a smart TV with streaming services as well as board games, and DVDs for entertainment. Small Bathroom: I like to call this our "Harry Potter" bathroom. It is a small half bath underneath the staircase. It has a steampunk vibe with copper piping but fits and functions perfectly. Second Floor: Bedrooms: Upon walking up the staircase, you are greeted with two large bedrooms. Each bedroom contains a queen-sized bed, a dresser, a smart TV and a closet for hanging clothes. Each room has a small, portable fan in the closet as well as a luggage rack. Bathroom: At the end of the hallway, is a newly renovated full-sized bathroom. There is a spacious stand-up shower, a footed bathtub and a pedestal sink. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, bath robes, and other amenities are all provided. Back Patio: Behind the house, there is a patio with seating for 4 and an umbrella. There is a gas grill with grilling utensils as well as parking for 6 vehicles. A few steps on back, there is a market square where a free EV charging station is located in case you are traveling in an electric car. There is also a gas station a few steps away that functions 24/7. It is very convenient for grabbing anything you may need no matter the time of day/night.

Great place to stay for our trip to Bardstown. It was within walking distance of many restaurants and close to many distilleries.
Lovely home and within walking distance of many of the suggested restaurants we had found. Also, close to many of the distilleries. It was well stocked with snacks and coffees. Great location and again a beautiful home.
