Stunning views, easy walk to the city center, and generally a perfect home base for our stay in Wanaka. The house was a bit dated but did not really affect our thoughts of the house. Worth it for the views and location!

Loved our stay here, had everything we needed and a stunning view! Close enough to town to walk (just have to walk back up the big hill but we didn’t mind that) would 10/10 stay again :)

House in Wanaka was great once we were able to get in. Host did not provide lockbox code as promised ahead of arrival. All our messages on Airbnb to host were either ignored or replied to with boilerplate directing us to their NZ-only phone number (inaccessible from our US mobile phones). We eventually found a local NZ number by finding their website and spoke to a representative who gave us the lockbox code. It felt like a scam until we finally got in. Checkout was fine.

Great location and everything you need to have a great family holiday. We booked it because it said pets welcome, but in the final email with access instructions it stated no pets. Very confusing?? We took our dog anyway. Would book again.

Sadly it took us almost two hours to check in due to being given ‘multiple’ incorrect lockbox codes. Despite calling the helpline and being informed someone would call back and update we heard nothing for an hour- it required a further two phone calls- the third insisting not to put the phone down until we had a solution (given we were travelling with a two month wold expecting more family with toddlers with the fear of no accomodation) to get a ‘correct’ code - each caller and property manager gave us different numbers so no idea what happened there. Had there at least been some communication that the property manager was aware and able to help or are courtesy call to update progress we would have felt slightly more comfortable- it felt like we would have been left on the porch had we not chased and we normally very relaxed. The Bach itself was lovely, perfect location, well set up- shame the Bach are service didn’t meet the standards we hoped for- hopefully this can be rectified!
