We are on the east end of Fire Island Pines, a 10 minute walk to the downtown area, a 3 minute walk to the glorious and quiet East end beach, and 1 minute walk to the great South Bay. The neighborhood is very quiet, and is the perfect spot to recharge or invite friends to enjoy the wonderful views and fantastic accommodations. You are surrounded by trees, sand and water.

Getting around is largely about walking. There are no cars on the Island, and all the walks are connected by boardwalks. So visiting downtown, is about a 10 minute walk away. The walks on the ocean or the bay are gorgeous, and should all be explored. There are water taxis that come into the harbor on a regular basis, for rides to restaurants or bars, or friends in other communities. Most people come by ferry from Sayville for their stays in The Pines. You may also bring a boat, and rent a slip in the harbor, from the Harbor Master, for your stay. If you're a great boatsman or woman, you can pull up the the end of Sail Walk, on the bay. In that case, you're in the house in 30 Seconds.
