Catalina and Carlos were the BEST hosts! They were so attentive to our needs and the food was incredible! As a family with two toddlers and two new teens, they were such a blessing to us!

Carlos and Catalina were the best hosts! We stayed at their farm for 2 weeks and had the most amazing experience. Their farm and home was very relaxing and peaceful while we were going through the adoption of our son. They both cared for our family very much on a personal level even to get to know us. They also speak English and Spanish which helped us with our Spanish speaking son and us as well since we don’t speak Spanish. They provided 3 meals each day and Catalina is an amazing cook! We enjoyed Colombian meals as well as some of our familiar American meals. We enjoyed everyday at the pool. Their dogs were a comfort to us. Anyone who stays at Carlos and Catalina’s will find this to be one of the best Air Bnb experiences they have ever had!

Our stay at Catalina and Carlos’ farm was fabulous. They went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of (including trips to the doctor’s office). And the food was just as incredible as the scenery! We stayed as part of the adoption process, and we are so glad we did. Their farm is a special place, and it was the perfect place for our growing family to bond and spend time together. We highly recommend, especially to adoptive families!

We stayed during our adoption waiting period. It was a stressful time for us and the kids, but Catalina and Carlos were beyond amazing. They were understanding of our situation and of the “growing pains” of our new family. They instantly felt like family to us. Their space was beautiful and allowed is to feel like we were almost on vacation. The boys loved swimming in the pool all afternoon. They fed cows in the morning and ducks at night. They even caught turtles in the pond. Carlos made them feel so important as they helped “run the farm.” Our boys are very active and having space to run and explore was awesome. And of course, Catalina’s cooking was incredible. Every meal was delicious- exactly what we needed. She was extremely generous with the food and we never were lacking. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to be out of the city and have room to breath and space to roam.

A retreat from the real world. Catalina and Carlos are so gracious and very kind.Her cooking is amazing(and our daily conversations while she prepared food, I already miss).We never left the table hungry.And fresh squeezed juice!Every meal!Carlos letting our boys feed the ducks every night at 5pm-priceless.The pool was beautiful and the view.The view, and the beautiful birds that we got to watch every morning during breakfast are very special memories now.They made our adoption process better in every way possible.Lots of love showered on us.They both taught us when we weren’t sure of correct Spanish grammar.If you’re looking for a place to be away from the noise of being in a city, and a connection to nature all around you, and connecting as a family - this is the place.I look forward to coming back to La Mesa, and enjoying the dogs, who loved us a lot and we loved them, feeding the ducks, picking limes, and sharing time with Catalina and Carlos.
