自我介绍

I am Austrian (Tyrolean to be more specific) and moved to New Zealand in June 2012 with my girlfriend Birgit. Before that, we both traveled for 12 months around the world. So it's fair to say, that we like travelling/backpacking a lot. Besides that, I enjoy kite surfing, rock climbing, skiing and mountaineering. I am also always on the hunt for new, authentic restaurants in Auckland (that are not very expensive). Besides that, I like to read (I love my Kindle), to watch a lot of TV series (e.g. the Americans, Modern Family, Breaking Bad, Last Week Tonight, Masters of Sex, Parks and Rec, Hannibal, Veep, GOT, Better Call Saul) and to go to concerts (Rock, Indie, Alternative). In the course of time, a lot of family and friends have visited me and Birgit here in New Zealand. However, also a bunch of ‘friends of friends’ and ‘friends of friends of friends’ have contacted us as well to get some advice or even a place to stay for a couple of nights. It was always a lot of fun for us to welcome visitors (even those whom we haven’t met in person before) in New Zealand and to tell them a little bit about the country and the people who live here. In particular, we enjoy to share the knowledge that we have gathered in the last couple of years with people who are thinking of traveling to New Zealand. Therefore, we decided to rent our guestroom via Air BnB, because we are always keen to meet new people from all over the world.
