The rockhound is a great place to make wonderful family memories in a beautiful lake front cottage. This Beautiful 3800 sq. ft. Timber Frame home on Paudash Lake has 230 ft of waterfront. Fully furnished with 6 bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms. This Property is located close to Bancroft and Haliburton. Silent Lake Provincial Park is a minutes away. The Rockhound has great swimming, boating, cycling, hiking, canoeing, Fishing, x-country skiing, and snowmobiling. As you open the front door, you will walk into an open concept living room with cathedral ceilings. The kitchen, dining room, and living room feel homely and very spacious. On the main level we have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Master bedroom is large and has a on suite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. Downstairs has a second living room with an entertainment system and has toys for children. In the basement there is a wing with 3 bedrooms and bathroom that has a sauna. The basement is a walk out into the back patio that leads the way to the beautiful lake.

Our group of young professionals really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was even more charming and spacious than depicted in the photos - we were blown away when we arrived. As a group of 12, we appreciated the kitchen layout, the pantry and extra fridge for food storage, the comfy beds and clean linens, and all of the lovely spots to play board games, eat, and hang out. The dock and water toys were great for hot and sunny days, there was ample parking, and the fire pit and chairs were well-enjoyed by all! The cottage was well-stocked with kitchenware and basics (oil, salt & pepper, etc.). Adèle is friendly, communicative, quick to respond, and accommodating. We would be thrilled to visit the Rockhound again, it is such a beautiful cottage with room and activities for everyone!

We went up with all our family, including 3 young children. We were all able to enjoy space and each other. The radiant heating was amazing, the sauna was relaxing and the two fridges perfect for a big family. Outside we were able to sled down the driveway with all the grandkids. Memories were made in this beautiful cottage!

A lovely, quieter option that’s comfortable for a big group. Beautiful cottage with an expansive kitchen. Adèle was warm, responsive and accommodating. Great nearby hiking options. Would happily come back to enjoy the lake in warmer weather.

The Cottage is nestled in the forest and is quite private. Just across the Narrows is the Paudash Lake Marina and store. Some of our guest like to Kayak and canoe over for an ice-cream in the Summer months.
Silent Lake Provincial Park is a 5 minute drive from the property and has several activities such as beaches and hiking trails. In the winter months Silent lake offers a large x-country trail system.
Bancroft and Haliburton are the two close local towns. We also have the Cardiff Corner Store just a couple minutes away, that has all basic amenities and has LCBO and Gas.

On the property we have ample parking for vehicles. We hope our guest will make use of the boats to explore this beautiful lake. The lake has a beach, sandbar, jumping rocks and crown land to explore. The Rockhound provides 1 Canoe, 2 Kayaks, 1 Fishing Kayak, 1 Paddleboat, and 1 Rowboat. We encourage our guest to bring their own motorboats or with a valid boating license they can rent from the Paudash Lake Marina.
