Great place to stay for a week of relaxing. Very clean space. Enjoyed sitting by the water and watching the sunrise and sunset.

We really loved the Boathouse with all its modern amenities and well equipped kitchen. It was nice to have the AC to come home to on the hot days. The owners were friendly and responsive to our queries. We did not mind the steep hill and many steps to get to the boathouse but for others this might be a challenge. Charleston Lake is a beautiful lake to explore by boat and is popular as a fishing destination. The owners allowed us to keep our own canoe in the boathouse. The under the counter fridge is quite small but as mentioned there is a large refrigerator outdoors available for use by guests. As mentioned in the description, the dock is in need of resurfacing (and beautifying) and is not all that inviting for swimming or lounging by the lakeshore. Fortunately, we were able to go swimming at a friend's cottage nearby.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Boathouse! The views are beautiful with a great sunrise- right on the water. We canoed early in AM most mornings. Charleston Lake is gorgeous. The space is well appointed, clean and comfortable--perfect for a couple's getaway. Janice was very helpful, respectful and accommodating.

This cottage is the perfect getaway for a couple! My husband and I recently stayed at “The Boat House” on Charleston Lake. From the minute we arrived, we were impressed, The boat house has been recently built and it is exactly as advertised. The photos are accurate. This studio suite cottage was modern and tastefully decorated. It was immaculately clean, and everything was in good condition. The kitchen has all the preparation essentials and well equipped for your culinary creations. There were many amenities included to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. All you need to bring is your personal items, clothing, and food, everything else is included. Cara has done an amazing job making you feel welcome, comfortable in her cottage, and always available by phone or text. She has thought of everything! We would definitely recommend and look forward to returning. Thank you for sharing your cottage, it has been a pleasure
