This stylish place is in the centre of Aulnay village and within walking distance of amenities. The village has 4 bars, (2 serving food), plus boulangeries, banks, supermarket etc. It is a 2 bedroom gîte ideal for a couple or young/small family of up to 4 people. Part of a beautiful Maison de maitre, the gîte is completely self contained, with its own entrance and therefore private. The property is set in a 2 acre garden, therefore there is plenty of space to enjoy the weather & surroundings. Downstairs is an open plan living, kitchen, dining room. Behind this is the bathroom with shower. Upstairs are the 2 bedrooms. Main bedroom has king size bed with comfortable memory foam dormeo mattress. The second small room has 2 full size single cabin style beds. The gîte is designed to make you feel at home, with some special touches like feather filled cushions, soft touch bedding, luxury Egyptian cotton towels. All designed for your comfort.

Very nice and friendly hosts! The house offers everything you need. You can see that the house is equipped with love. Wonderful huge and quiet garden. Jan and Steven always were always helpful in every way. We would love to come back!

Super gîte, vraiment impeccable, qualitatif et très bien fait. On sent que Jan et Graham ont pensé aux moindres petits détails pour que tout soit parfait, pratique et classe. Une note de 5/5 sans hésitation pour ce gîte qui vient d’ouvrir, je le recommande pour des familles avec enfants en bas âge (une chambre pour enfant adorable et un terrain extérieur fermé et totalement sécurisé). Pour avoir fait plusieurs gîtes en famille ces 5 derniers années, celui la est l’un des plus charmants, avec des hôtes aux petits soins pour nous (réservation d’un restaurant en last minute pour nous, des conseils sur les environs, un équipement dans le gîte irréprochable avec même des jeux pour enfants, tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner… un barbecue au gaz prêt à l’emploi !). Bravo à Jan et Graham pour la réalisation de ce gîte charmant.

Wunderschöne Gästewohnung in einem tollen Haus mit Garten. Wir hatten als Familie einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub mit den Kindern. Das Gästehaus ist ideal für Ausflüge an das Meer, Besuch vom Markt und zum Entspannen. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und alles entspricht der Beschreibung. Vielen Dank an Jan und Graham für den liebevollen Empfang und den freundlichen Kontakt. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Merci

Aulnay is a large lively village, with plenty of amenities. The village square has bars / restaurants, boulangeries, banks, post office etc.
No designated driver needed if you are going out for the evening in Aulnay ! There is also a supermarket on the edge of the village, which is perfect for weekly shopping. Sunday is market day in Aulnay, a real social day for everyone. There is also a smaller market on Thursday mornings, with the essential stalls such as fruit & vegetables, meat, fish & cheeses.
During summer months there is an open air public pool in Aulnay, and there are also tennis courts in the village.
Aulnay is within driving distance to some beautiful towns and cities such as Saintes (40 minutes), Cognac (40 minutes), La Rochelle (1 hour), Ile de Re (1 hr 20 minutes), beaches around an hour...
