Very nice for a weekend away

Booked this cabin for a girls weekend on the lake! We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful dock and lake access. The photos on the listing were all taken in the winter which was an interesting choice considering the fact that this home is very beautiful in the summer. With that being said, we were not impressed with the check in instructions, and walked into a kitchen that was not all that clean. The house itself is nice, but definitely not very well cleaned. The beautiful picture windows had been cleaned poorly and we found the house overall a little awkward. There was one bedroom that was clearly a former screen porch and the bedroom in the basement has strange images painted on the tiles on the ceiling… something else to note is that the kitchen is not well stocked, and there just wasn’t sufficient kitchen supplies for us to use which was a challenge. We loved the grill and the deck was beautiful. Overall, a lovely place, but maybe not worth what we paid for it.

Amazing location on Lake Arbutus- absolutely beautiful, a 10/10. The house itself had a great number of rooms that fit our family's needs but needs quite a bit of TLC and updates. There were lights that wouldn't turn on and other weird electrical issues. We couldn't find the crib that was listed in the description. The grill had no gas and was not in great shape. Very limited kitchen cookware, especially for large groups, and no dish towels. the non microwavable plates were a small nuisance but noticeable. The playground was broken and not safe/usable. Given all that, we would stay here again if we come back to the area.

We had our 17th annual “Daddy’s Weekend” with 3 dads and 9 kids ages 13 to 22. The property was spacious enough for our group and overall we had a great time! Pros: 1. Outside deck was very nice and we enjoyed hanging out in the deck and overlooking the lake. 2. Swimming area was nice at the end of the dock and the water mat was a nice edition. It’s a rocky beach, so I wouldn’t recommend for young kids looking for a sandy beach. 3. Lake was nice, but can get really shallow in some spots that were marked and is busy on the weekends. 4. Home was spacious and worked well for our group. 5. Internet with Wi-Fi worked good. 6. Couches and beds were comfortable. 7. Owner was good to work with and responsive. Cons: 1. The place needs a little TLC and overall maintenance to home and grounds. 2. The place did not meet our standard of clean and we made that very clear to the owner.

Overall the location was beautiful however the communication with the hosts and the cleanliness was terrible. We got locked out of the house and received a reply after 5h. The grill had ketchup and other stains on it same as the kitchen. Other people’s belongings were left at the house as well.
