Phil was a pleasure to deal with both before our arrival and after we arrived when we hadn’t carefully read his information about the house; specifically where the cutlery drawer is located. The house is located close the Farringdon station which made it convenient to get anywhere in London we wanted to. His cat Lucky is a pleasure to have in the house with you, especially if you like cats like all of us do.

Stayed with my family of 8 and we were very comfortable. The home was very modern and beautifully setup. The area was close distance to Farringdon station and plenty of activities nearby. I would definitely stay here again with a family. While a little reluctant to Lucky the cat, it was very easy to take care of and was a very friendly cat.

Our family of five adults and two nine year olds were happy and comfortable during our week long stay. The bedroom on the fifth floor was a bit of a hike up, but very nice for anyone who can maneuver stairs. The house is an interesting combination of historic and modern, with eclectic and artistic decor. The living space was terrific, loved the couches for lounging, and the large windows. The kitchen was nicely appointed and the table large enough for our family. We all became attached to the gorgeous house cat Lucky, and were entertained by her antics. Make sure to close all bedroom doors if you don’t want a visit from her! One of my favorite areas was the third floor balcony overlooking the park, with a vast variety of beautiful and well tended plants. The mature trees in the park provide privacy and havens for local birds. We loved the cozy and friendly pub across the street, and proximity to transport and city sites is hard to beat. Highly recommend Phil’s house!

The house is a great mix of the historic and the modern, and was a lovely place to base ourselves for a family weekend away. The location is fantastic for both the local restaurants and pubs (with lots of great choices in Clerkenwell and Exmouth Market), and only a few minutes walk from the tube. The house cat (Lucky) was an added bonus which the kids enjoyed! A great place to stay, and a really good responsive host. Thank you Phil.
