Smallish but cleverly designed accommodation. Plenty of room for little old me. Comfy bed. Parking right outside, Netflix and bottle of wine on arrival. What more could you want? This was a good value peaceful property in an excellent location. Recommended.

Myself and my partner were instantly impressed upon check-in with Pear Tree. It was a lovely converted outbuilding with everything we needed to be able to enjoy the south lakes while also not being pressured to go out every evening. The cottage barn was cosy, clean and well equipped. There was a restaurant/bar across the road that was lovely (but I’d advise to book!) and we found it to be easy access to Windermere (25 mins drive) and Kendal (10 mins drive). On the way to Kendal also there was an Asda to get food shopping and essentials. Overall we’d highly recommend Pear Tree and would most definitely stay again in the future 😊 Helpful note - there isn’t an oven in the kitchen but this didn’t bother us!
