Molokai Shores is a lovely oceanfront property, but we found this condo overpriced for what you get. See reviews by Debra and Rosemarie. Despite an email confirming the unit we rented, we were initially directed to another unit. I had to explain it was fraud to put me in another unit. I will avoid renting from CVRH in future; If this was my condo I would fire Castle as a property mgmt company. Positives: 3rd (top) floor wallk-up, large wrap around lanai with several different seatings, 2bdms and 2 bath, nice layout, big frig, lots of cooking equip, beds good, good shower, comfy couch. Negatives: Road noise, no seating for everyone together. Spice rack jars sticky, and not even basic: no salt or pepper. No hand soap in BR. Cobwebs, sandy, dirty floor. No pool towels. Castle cleaning crew seemed to not have vacuums or mops but were friendly and gave us an extra garbage bag, roll of paper towel and TP. I think Airbnb should stick to private. Molokai is magical! So very glad we went.
Location perfect, linens clean, everything works. But Castle staff on Molokai don’t seem to know what unit we rented, had to keep calling them but they did remedy it quickly after giving us code to wrong unit. The unit is older and needs some cosmetic care, but hey you’re in Hawaii! Beds comfy but furniture was old and sparse. Says sleeps 6 but only a 3 person couch to sit on, no table & chairs or bar stools, except plastic beach chairs. No instr. for TV which turned out the cable box was unplugged. Wasps nested on the deck we got used to as they were mellow but still… Kitchen so-so, lids don’t match pots, some dusty dusty dishes. Deck furniture needs upgrade bad. But it’s Molokai! Pool is great the island is great and you take what you get. We will be back but probably not with Castle.
Great place to stay for the night during our stay in Moloka’i for our axis deer hunt.
I rented a unit and when i walked into the unit it was not the one i rented, i called them and they said the place I booked wasn’t available and i could stay in the place for a discount but when looking at the price online it was more than it was listed online, it was too small for our group, we had to stay one night, which they did give us for free, the next day they showed us a bigger place that was so dirty that i would not stay in, I don’t understand how you can book something and then it not be available, I will probably never rent from them again.
Overall the space accommodated our group well. The location is wonderful! We appreciated the beautiful ocean views & breezes and the pool was a great bonus!
