The best location on the island. Close to all the activities you want to do - Sulpher Springs, several waterfalls, many snorkeling spots, chocolate tour, etc. Walked every night to a different restaurant, walked down to the beach every night to watch the sunset, and walked to the local grocery store. Only street parking available but easily found a spot every time we returned home and we had two cars.

We enjoyed our time, and found it really close to many things we wanted to see and do. Mau and her family were very helpful and responsive, and made our visit even better.

We had a lovely stay in Soufriere with Mau. She was really accommodating, gave great recommendations for the local area and was really responsive and on hand with anything we needed during our stay. Many thanks Mau!

Our party of 4 adults had a wonderful stay at Rose Petal and Mau was a charming and helpful host. We were sent a list of local recommendations for restaurants and bars in Soufriere before we arrived and there was information in the house of places to visit. The town felt authentic and real and the locals were friendly. It was a great location to visit nearby places such as the drive in volcano and botanical gardens. We had a late arrival due to a flight delay and non-show of our taxi (arranged independently by us) and Mau met us at the house to show us around and welcome us. Consequently we asked Mau for a taxi recommendation for our return to Castries airport and this was successful, despite the road being closed due to heavy rainfall! Mau was very helpful and kind when one of our party needed medical attention. Overall, we loved our stay in Soufriere and would highly recommend!

Mau was very nice and informative on things to do in the area. If I was reviewing Mau I would give 5 stars. However, the house itself was old, dark, damp, dirty and the neighborhood was less than desireable. There were old condiments in the cabinet that had mold on them. Huge cockroaches in the laundry room area. House centipedes in kitchen sink. Beds were comfortable and I did not see any bugs in the bedroom area. Air conditioning did work great. There are no screens on the windows, which is not uncommon, but mosquitos could and did get into the house. We ended up leaving early and forfeiting 3 out of 7 of the planned nights we were going to stay. The house is on a busy road, which is really noisy and had many vagrants outside - sleeping on our porch steps and asking us for money every time we went outside. This place is for the experienced Caribbean traveler who does not mind staying in a rougher area without many amenities nearby. It was not an unsafe area but not comfortable.
