This family friendly boutique house is located on a quaint village brick road within walking distance of downtown restaurants, parks, bars, coffee shop, ice cream shop, mini grocery store, and more. The property is family owned and managed by long time Cherry Valley residents. We can’t wait to share our village with you! The house was originally built c.1900 and was renovated in 2022 with the intent of restoring it closer to its original Folk Victorian charm. From authentic time-period structures (such as 9 foot ceilings and original doors) to many antique furnishings (like the stunning master four-poster king bed), we tried to mimic the beauty and lavishness of the Victorian era and create an experience that transports you away from the daily grind. The kitchen is very well stocked, appliances are in excellent condition, and the dining room table seats 8 comfortably. There is also a small table and a couple chairs in the kitchen. Go ahead and tinker on the piano (made in Rockford, IL) or turn on the vintage-style radio. The living room has plenty of cozy seating and a large screen TV with Blueray/DVD player and Apple TV hookup for all your streaming accounts. There is also a stash of board games in there, because what is a family getaway without games? The main level bathroom has a full tub with shower. There is a laundry with washer and dryer also on the main level and you are welcome to take advantage of it. Please bring your own detergent. Liquid is preferred. Upstairs you will find the gorgeous master suite with attached full bathroom. We hope you feel like royalty in the four-poster king bed. The queen bedroom is down the hall and also lavishly decorated. Across the hall is a cozy third room with one set of twin bunks. Please note, guests staying in bedrooms 2 & 3 will share the main level bathroom, which is a short walk down the stairs and around the corner. If you need a quiet place to write an email or check in on work, there is a desk/vanity in both the master and queen bedrooms, as well as a desktop that pops out of the armoire where the TV is housed. The back yard is fully fenced and perfect to let the kids out and play in a safe neighborhood. There is an outbuilding in the backyard that is locked and off-limits to guests for the time being. We hope to eventually install a hot tub in there, so come back and visit us again sometime!
