Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway on the Connecticut River. Large 2-tier deck with steps to private boat dock right on the river. Wake up to amazing views of the river with the stillness of nature around you. Superb water skiing with 18 miles of wide, deep river. Excellent fishing. A habitat for bald eagles. Boat launch 1/4 mile away. Under 1 hr to major ski areas including Okemo, Mount Snow, Stratton and Magic Mountain. 15 min to Brattleboro Ski Hill. Granite Gorge 30 min. Open concept kitchen into living room area. One bedroom with queen bed on main floor. One full bath on main floor. Loft with full size bed and twin bed. Tall people will have to crouch in loft area. Perfect for kids. Nice Ikea closet system in master bedroom for storage of belongings. Entrance mud room area for kicking off boots and hanging jackets.

This cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway with our dog! It was right on the river and close to lots of good hiking spots. The cabin was perfect!
We were pleasantly surprised when we entered the home. It was roomy - much larger and comfortable than the photos show - trust me, the 4 of us with 2 dogs had plenty of space! The surrounding area was delightful and gorgeous. We enjoyed viewing the water from the deck after a light snow. The kitchen is chock full of anything you might need, if you wanted to cook. If you forgot an ingredient, it’s likely already in the cabinets for your convenience! Peter was 100% responsive and friendly to any communication between us. I cannot say enough positive things about renting this home. Thank you!!
This was a beautiful home. Secluded, quiet, and peaceful with an amazing view of the river off the back deck.
Peter’s place was perfect for my stay! The home was exactly as described and in a great location, close proximity to anything you would need (grocery, restaurants, shopping etc.)! And the views of the river were so great to wake up to every morning. I would definitely recommend Peter’s place to a friend for a weekend getaway!

West Chesterfield is a small town with that Norman Rockwell country feel. While there’s not much of a village, it’s very near Brattleboro, VT which has a lot going on. Check out the Marina Restaurant in the Summer right on the CT River. Ramunto’s Brick Oven Pizza is gourmet pizza at its best on the rotary after you cross over the bridge. Keene, NH is not too far away too with more shopping opportunities.
