A great way to end the day, sitting in this beautiful living room and looking out on the terrace, after the busyness of Florence, this was a welcome, relaxing respite. A remarkable and 5 star location to be sure.

This is a special place. Too bad it’s still winter, so the garden was not really useable; however, the space and the location are perfecto!!!

We had an amazing stay at casa Vanny. The whole place is designed beautifully and you really do feel like you’ve stepped into pure luxury. One or two things I would point out that had no overall detriment to the beauty of the apartment, is that the communal hallway to the actual apartment has no lights, (or they just weren’t working) nothing came on when you’re walking through and at night you are in complete pitch darkness. This is fine if you are young and have a phone to use as a torch but my 80 year old father didn’t and shouldn’t really have to. There was also a smell of sewerage the whole time we were there. Not sure if it is a problem with all the apartments, but it was worse when the taps were running. One room was unfinished, no mirror on the wall and wires coming out of the wall, which I also don’t think was mentioned in the listing. It was only one of the bathrooms, and you had plenty more to choose from, but it looked untidy and unkept and not in keeping with the apartment

The photos make this place look stunning, and they don't do it justice. Located within a tranquil, beautiful courtyard (as part of the booking), the living space is clean, spacious, very comfortable, and chic. The connected kitchen space is very well equipped (you'd struggle to think of anything you need that isn't there), as well as looking fresh and modern. Both bedrooms have a huge amount of storage space, large comfortable beds, and are decorated sensitively and stylishly. The larger has an ensuite toilet room. There are two bathrooms - the first has a deep bath, plus a walk-in shower, and the second is a shower-room (off the mirrored area with the writing desk - the mirrors hide the washing machine and other equipment) with a very large walk-in rain-shower that can fit at least three people. The road outside is as quiet as you'll find in a city like Lucca - the area is quieter, and the welcome was warm with clear, easy instructions - will book again in a heartbeat!
