Bring the whole family or friends to this lovely home with lots of room for fun! On the waterfront, with incredible views where you can watch seabirds, boats, and stunning sunsets. The Pembrokeshire coast path passes outside, walking distance to the marina, restaurants and shops. Centrally located with all beaches, and family attractions within easy distance makes it the perfect location for exploring. Plenty of space for everyone, and your dogs, with a large secure private garden and orchard. Spacious rooms throughout a fresh and inviting cottage. South facing, providing warm and comfortable living space throughout, with unimpeded water views from most of the windows. A lawned garden with patio and seating is to be found at the front of the house with commanding waterway views. A large, fully secure garden to the rear is safe for children and dogs (£10 per dog fee for any length of stay - dog bowls and towels provided). Here you can sit and eat outside in privacy in the picnic area with seating for eight, which is real suntrap! A BBQ grill is provided & plenty of outdoor cushions/seating. There is also a small orchard where there are apples and pears to be picked in season. Inside there is a fully equipped kitchen and utility room (large free standing fridge and separate fridge/freezer, lots of storage, washing machine, tumble drier, dish washer, ironing facilities), and the kitchen boasts an attractive dining area with seating for eight. Please note that there is a step between the dining area and kitchen, otherwise the ground floor is all level access. A separate large comfortable lounge with a picture window looking out onto super waterway views, and lots of sofa space for lounging, including a reading area with books and games available. Also on the ground floor are two airy double bedrooms (one bed has electronic features if you have difficulty getting out of bed, or enjoy sitting in bed), both rooms have level easy access and unimpeded water views, and there is a separate fully equipped wet/shower/loo room. In the attic are two more large bedrooms - a double bedroom and a bedroom with two single beds, and a second separate shower/loo room. The cottage has wi fi, TV, and is centrally heated. There is a travel cot and high seat for babies if required, and stair gates are in place. There is plenty of space for storing beach, hiking, bikes or boating equipment in the garage.
Claire’s home was wonderful and welcoming! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need plus coffee, tea, sugar, spices and so much more. The home was very clean, the beds were comfortable, her gardens were great and the washer/dryer was a big plus! Claire was responsive with any questions we had. And she even let us check in early! We highly recommend her home to anyone traveling to the area.
Felt like home.. very comfortable.. each and every items are thoughtfully selected and kept for guests.. great host and wonderful house, view and location..
We stayed for a week with 6 adults, 2 kids and 2 german shepherds! The place was as described and met all our needs, the garden was so spacious and perfect for the dogs and what was provided was more than we expected! The bungalow itself had stunning views and we took advantage of the binoculars provided to watch the boats come in to the estuary :) All in all Claire was a perfect host with speedy replies to messages and we would recommend to anyone wanting to stay!
The cottage is on the waterfront of a small friendly town in Pembrokeshire. The coast path passes the house linking you to the Pembrokeshire National Park coast path. There is direct pedestrian access in front of the house onto the shoreline, and a number of nearby slipway (free) access points for launching boats. Bikes, kayaks, SUPs and diving equipment can all be stored in the garage at the cottage, and there is room to park a dingy on the driveway.
The house has a large secure garden with an outdoor dining area and an orchard, a great place for children to play, and dog friendly too! There is a network of footpaths nearby which provide great places to safely walk the dog (message us if you want help with dog walking/sitting), or you can kick back and watch the stunning view from the patio at the front of the house. The Brunel cycle/walking trail starts at the nearby marina (where you can hire bikes) which is within minutes walking distance, which links to other cycling/walking routes. The marina offers boat hire for fishing, yacht cruising and day trips on the Cleddau. At the marina you are also spoilt for choice with The Bar, an acclaimed waterside restaurant, and a funky cafe called Manillas. Near the house is The Alumchine, a lovely restaurant with panoramic waterway views.
The town has a Doctor's surgery, pharmacy, two convenience stores, hairdressers and takeaways. Centrally located to explore the amazing Cleddau waterway, and Pembrokeshire's stunning beaches and ancient Preseli hills. Tourist attractions such as Folly farm, Tenby, and St Davids are all approx 30 mins away. Amazing beaches such as Freshwater West, Newgale, BroadHaven, Barrafundle are all within 20-30 minutes, and stunning island trips to Skomer from Martins Haven and Ramsey from Whitesands are about 30 minutes distance.
There is plenty of parking at the cottage - two cars can fit on the driveway, and there is free on street parking. Parking is free in the town and marina. There is a local bus service and a coastal bus service. The train stops at nearby towns.
