Nestled amongst the trees & lilac bushes, this private cabin is the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle-and-bustle and listen to the sounds of nature. Located just outside the town of Trochu on a historic property, this cabin features all the original rustic charm with modern comforts. From the front porch, you may catch a sunrise, listen to the birds or be visited by one of many deer that call this property home. We have counted over 30 species of birds, making this a bird watchers. The cabin is a private building on our heritage property with private parking and views of the pond. There is a large bedroom with private entrance, a living area with a pullout couch that turns into a double bed, a kitchen and two washrooms, one with a claw-foot tub and toilet, the other with a shower and toilet. There is also a private patio with a table and chairs and BBQ. The kitchen has a full fridge/freezer, full size stove with oven, dining table, toaster, microwave, air popcorn maker, kettle, Nespresso coffee maker, coffee/tea, and honey, sugar & stevia. There is also basic cooking necessities such as salt and pepper, organic olive oil. The living area has a cozy couch that turns into a double bed. Both the bedroom and living area with the pullout couch can have private bathrooms and private entrances if two couples are staying and want their privacy. The queen bed has organic cotton sheets, a linen goose-down duvet and black-out curtains/blinds. Cotton housecoats are also available for your use. Drinking Water: Please know that we are on a country well and our water does have a sulphur smell. The water is completely safe to drink, has a pH of 8.7 and makes for an incredible spa-like bath. We do understand that not everybody enjoys drinking sulphur water and so we provide you with RO (reverse osmosis) water for drinking and for making coffee/tea. You'll find plenty of water in the ceramic vessel under the Nespresso machine and we are happy to fill it for you should you need more during your stay.
