Ali and Jamie’s place is a beautiful cottage in the English countryside. As of 2024, it’s very recently refurbished and looks new. The views of hills and green right outside your door are stunning. The place is super clean, has great amenities, and is a peaceful and charming location. A perfect spot for doing some English countryside touring. You will need to drive to get around so keep that in mind. Enjoy this lovely cottage!

Upalong is very warm, comfortable, and well-equipped. The views are beautiful, making it an ideal retreat for working or just enjoying the peaceful countryside. Cotherstone Hill is very near. It is a gentle walk to the top (even for us, in our mid-80s) and fantastic views when you get there. Hestercombe Garden is worth a visit. We found the restaurant good, but service slow when they got busy. The Lethbridge Arms, fifteen minutes away, does very good authentic Thai food. Ali and Jamie live at the other end of their long garden and are extremely warm, welcoming and thoughtful hosts, unobtrusive, but near enough to give support if it should be needed, which we we much appreciated. We very much hope to come again

Upalong is beautiful little cottage and the views are to die for! Ali was very helpful and always on hand if I needed anything. Fantastic place, I will definetely be returning!

We had a lovely stay in this delightful cottage. The setting is beautiful with amazing views from the terrace and the cottage was very comfortable and expertly equipped with everything you might possibly need. Ali and Jamie were great hosts and really helpful and gave us some great tips on local things to explore. We would love to come back.

Booked at very short notice. They were extremely accommodating and friendly. House was warm and clean. Had everything you need. Will be staying again when back in the area.
