Work from home/remote work and University/post-grad student friendly! This room is on the 3rd floor of my Town Home, so you will need to be able to go up and down stairs. I am centrally located to just about everything in Houston, and I happen to be in one of the few areas considered walkable (hard to come by in Houston). Welcome to my home! I live here and work from home (though I travel a lot and have odd hours). I am a long-time guest myself, so I took everything from my favorite stays and incorporated them into my home to make it as welcoming and travel friendly as possible! I rent 2 of my rooms, so you will likely have other house guests coming in and out. The home is large and even at full capacity stays pretty quiet. The kitchen and living room are common areas (with plenty of space!), and this room has recently had a bathroom upgrade (new tile and fixtures - not pictured).

This accommodation is the best possible in my opinion, I stayed there for over 3 months. It is both very well located and equipped with all the necessary facilities. Penny is a fantastic host who will always be available for you, and communication with her is easy and responsive. I recommend 110% for those who want accommodation in Houston, near Washington Street.
Penny is an amazing host! She is exceedingly friendly, kind and personable, and was super responsive. She made me feel welcome even before moving in. Her place is fantastic! It is bright, cheery, and very clean and conveniently located, especially to downtown where I work. The room is beautiful and looks exactly like it does in the pic. I highly recommend staying here.

Tuve dudas en las instrucciones de llegada pues no las había visto pero me ayudo penny, estuvo el lugar cómodoy bien de espacio, cre que estaríabien que hubiera tazas de cristal ya que a las que teníaacceso solo era de plástico, una almohada olíaa sucio pero de ahí en fuera no tuve inconvenientes. penny siempre estuvo atenta a lo que se le preguntara
Penny's home is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Her kitchen is amazing. Everything was neatly arranged and labeled. As a host, she was very communicative and accommodating. Truly a gem! I look forward to staying there again in the future.
Highly recommended host who is flexible, helpful and will go beyond to make your stay comfortable. For me, this included helping combat some sciatic pain issues.

This neighborhood is VERY quiet. Many working professionals, retirees, and dog-loving people around.
Despite being on what’s known as a “party street” in Houston, we are on the far end, which is considered very residential and has a strong law enforcement presence.
- Downtown is less than 10 minutes by vehicle (less than 30 minutes by public transportation).
- The Medical Center is ~30 minutes by public transportation (15 minutes by vehicle).
- Bars, restaurants, pharmacies, and necessity groceries are less than 5 minutes by walking.
- Proper grocery is less than 5 minutes by vehicle (direct line with public transportation).
- Memorial Park (one of Houston's most popular) is a 10 minute walk away.
Bus stop at the end of the block, walking distance to Memorial Park, parking available.

I like the true local experience; touristy things are fine, but the unique, off-the-beaten path experiences are my sweet spot!
