Royal Residence is on the main street of Cabarete, oceanside. Center of town and beach is a 3 minute walk via sidewalk with German bakery and a "million" bars restaurants, shops and water sport centers.
The Royal Residence commercial plaze features a medical doctor, chiropracter, acupuncture and sports medicine offices, laundrymat, leather goods store and courier service.
Across the street is Banco Popular and the Belgian Bakery.
Ocean One Plaza is next door featuring Banco Santa Cruz, a pharmacy, laboratory and radiography services, mail and real estate offices.
Adjacent to Ocean One Plaza is beach access and The Honey Company--a great place for breakfast and snacks.
Ocean Dream Plaza with Tex-Mex, Sushi & delicatessen cuisine, pharmacy, office supply store, pharmacy, hair salon and clothing boutique is a 5-minute walk.
Within a 10-minute walk to the west is Andari Spa at Millennium, La Rosa Supermarket, Bliss fine Italian dining, hardware store, Vagamundo coffee & waffles and the charasmatic Callejon de la Loma neighborhood.
The far eastern point of Cabarete Bay is less than 15-minute walk and features the large and very complete, Yanet's Supermarket, and the best sunsets at Velero Beach Resort's Bar & Grill.

Walking in Cabarete is the mode of choice. Getting around is very straight forward as you are either on the beach or the main road.
"Motoconchos" (motorcycle taxies) abound and are RD$50/person/stop during the day per within town--be sure to clarify your rate before getting on. No helmets are provided for passengers.
Street parking in Cabarete is free, yet far from easy and worry-free due to the narrow road, pedestrians and traffic. There are three conveniently located, secure private parking lots in Cabarete center for RD$100-$200.
There are taxies available throughout Cabarete on the main street. Be sure your taxi driver and vehicle brandish appropriate identification. Local service is approximately US$5. Taxi is recommended for trips to Playa Encuentro surf beach, Wilson's Bar at La Boca beach and Sosua.
"Carro Publicos" (small cars) and "guaguas" (vans & small buses) provide affordable public transportation between towns.
