Unplug. Unwind. Connect with nature. Come enjoy our 700 sq.ft. cabin on 6 wooded acres. Fish the trout stream, hike, bike, swim! See hummingbirds hover at the feeders, watch for deer or bald eagles. The outdoor recreational opportunities are endless. Listen to the wind whisper while you sway in the hammock. Escape to the peaceful pines and let the whippoorwills sing you to sleep at day's end.
The cabin has one bedroom on the main level and a loft above. Each room has a queen size bed. Indoor plumbing. Full size stove, refrigerator and a small microwave in a small kitchen. In cold weather, warm yourself by the wood burning stove or simply adjust the thermostat if you prefer.

My husband and I stayed with our 80 lb pup in Emily & Renee's cabin for nearly a week in late April. As is typical of the upper midwest in April, the weather was rather chilly in the evenings, so we didn't spend as much time outside at the cabin as we had hoped, but the heating inside kept us very comfortable. The cabin is super clean and very comfortable. Another couple almost joined us, and I am glad they did not. It would have been an awkward arrangement with the only bathroom being an ensuite (which is clearly noted in the listing, but I missed it initially - so heads up). It's perfect for families of two or four legs. The area has some really fantastic hiking! I highly recommend the Ice Age trail for more intense hiking and the Roche-A-Cri park for paved/gravel trails and some interesting petroglyphs. But make sure you bring proper bug repellant - the ticks there aren't messing around. The cabin's location is also great for those who, like us, may be recently vaccinated and itching to eat meals not made by themselves. Steven's Point is only 45 minutes away and there are some really excellent options there (though be aware that not everywhere enforces mask wearing, which made us uncomfortable - despite being vaccinated). For the more adventurous foodies, I recommend Father Fat, which was a surprising find in such a small town. The Hilltop Tavern was also great for a (veggie) burger and graciously accommodated our pup on the patio. All in all, we had a lovely week! Thank you!!
This was a wonderfully relaxing getaway! Great hiking nearby and huge windows to enjoy nature views while relaxing by the indoor fireplace.
Our cabin is in a remote area, if you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle for a slower, quieter pace, this is the place. Our neighbors are few and far between.
Outdoor recreation is top on the list of things to do. We're surrounded by several lakes and the Wisconsin River, perfect for fishing or pleasure boating. State wildlife areas are abundant with hiking trails, wildlife viewing areas and recreational areas. If rock climbing is your thing, there's a great rock face just minutes from the cabin which is great for all ability levels.
Necedah National Wildlife Refuge is a short drive but worth the time. Lots of public hunting grounds in the area. Hunters are welcome!
Adams County has 23 public access lakes and we are convenient to several of them. The Petenwell Flowage has multiple ramps with the nearest 12 miles away. Big Roche-A-Cri Lake's launch is 10 miles away.
For more information for each lake within the county to include acreage, depth, fish stock, location, etc., visit the website listed below. Whether an avid fisherman or looking for a peaceful day on the water, this will provide a good resource for vacation planning.
Lake-link is a good website. Search Wisconsin, we are located in Adams County.
The WI Dept. of Natural Resources website also has excellent information. Search for lakes and Adams County. (I'd list the website but Airbnb will hide it).
Check the Guidebook for links to area attractions like; golfing, ATVing, motorcycling, kayaking, trapshooting, even antiquing!
Sand Valley Golf Resort is less than 10 miles from the cabin. If you’re seeking world-class golf, look no further. Wisconsin Dells and the plethora of activities in the Dells area are less than an hour away. Wisconsin Rapids is 20 miles to the north, Adams/Friendship is 15 miles to the south. The nearest gas station with groceries, postal service, hunting/fishing license issuing, etc. is 8 miles north in the town of Rome. Located approximately 1.5 hrs from Madison (south), LaCrosse (west) and Appleton (east) airports. Private taxi service with pick up/drop off to the airport is available.
I'm an outgoing, out-door loving Wisconsin native who was lured to Nashville by my husband. Since I'm a Northern girl at heart, I couldn't stand to sell my cabin! It's been a refuge for my family and me since we purchased it in 2006. This is my home away from home, the place where stress melts off of me the second I pull into the driveway and smell the familiar scent of pine, and the place where I hope to spend summers with my family (again) after I retire.
