Patricia was a very kind hostess, and pretty much let me do my thing. The description described on the profile matched the room, and the accomodation of the private bathroom was a nice bonus! The neighborhood is also fairly quiet and peaceful. The hostess does have family at the house, but they mostly keep to themselves. If you don't mind that, then this room might work for you. Also the location is not that far from the airport. It was a good 10 mins away. While downtown Houston was 15-30 mins, depending on which area of downtown you are traveling too. Now, there was an isolated incident involving wasp(s) entering the bathroom through the vents. Apparently it just recently started happening according to Patricia, but she promised to take care of it right away. To be fair, it didn't happen again after that initial time, but something to discuss with her if any concerns. Otherwise, it was a fairly decent stay and suited what I was looking for in terms of price and convenience.

Patricia was very welcoming. The only issues I had was the roaches and wasps. I killed at least 3 wasps in the bathroom a day. They come from the vent in the bathroom which really made it frightening for my son. The house wasn’t well kept during my stay. Problems occurred often with the electricity. I work from home so that was also inconvenient. The refrigerator stopped working properly. Host also leaves the door unlocked at very late hours of the night which didn’t feel safe. The only key was for the room. Overall, I appreciate Patricia because my reservation was canceled the day I was supposed to check out and she accommodated my son and I.

Immediately felt right at home. Patricia reached out to me after confirmation with her contact info. homey location, beautiful area covered in trees. clean, quiet, no issues. just what I needed for the night before an interview.
