This is a beautiful cabin in a lovely area right in hill country. Cozy with a comfortable bed, nice little kitchenette, and cozy sitting area. As other reviewers have mentioned, keep in mind that the love shack is best for an individual or a couple. Definitely highly recommended! Just as described, this is a small and simple cabin in a beautiful part of hill country. The love shack is small but far from basic, it has all the necessities for a few nights for one or two people (bed, mini-fridge, hot shower, hair dryer, etc.) The country is nice, and easy walking distance to both a creek and scenic views. We would recommend the love shack to those seeking a good value and reliability, or just romantic get away. Nice, comfortable, and affordable place to stay. Good location (driving distance to Boerne, right near many restaurants and coffee shops). The bedroom is comfortable and the kitchenette is very well-equipped. The Love shack is perfect for a romantic get away.

The property is gorgeous and the view was great! The location was perfect for visiting a state park each day: Hill Country, Government Canyon and Guadalupe River state parks.

Peaceful little shack nestled in the trees on a wooded hillside. Firepit, hot tub, and patio overlook a creek bottom and yes, GREAT VIEWS. Clear skis made for awesome star viewing also. It is perfect for a getaway weekend for two. Saw plenty of deer while walking around the property. Just close enough to Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, and Lost Maples for day trip/adventuring. The Webber grill beside the firepit can cook a mean steak! Be prepared to improvise cooking/cleaning wise, or plan on dining at restaurants in town (15 min away), as there is no true “kitchen”/cooktop/sink for washing dishes. I may have overlooked it when booking, at no fault of host or listing….. we made due, and it added to the fun. We really enjoyed our stay here! The “host” was just right (texted to let us know it was ready, early check-in/late check out, and answered a question or two we had), all via text….never saw a person during our stay on property, which was nice.

The location was great! We visited 5 state parks over 3 days and this was home base in-between. We got notice the day before the hot tub pump went out and they offered to reschedule or book at one of their places in Kerrville. We opted to keep the reservation knowing the hot tub was broken. I asked about fishing because we thought the fishing dock was close to the Love Shack. Note: it isn't far, but not exactly close either. We wandered around until we found it. Host says they sent a video answering my question about fishing and I believe them, but I never received it (app issue?). Didn't catch any fish, but did enjoy unwinding in this peaceful place. We used the charcoal grill one night and had steaks and baked potatoes. Washing dishes was a challenge with the only sink being in the bathroom with the smallest counter space possible. We also had issues with the wifi, but able to use phone hot spot to solve that problem. Overall great place for a low-key getaway!
