No check in instructions given. No response at the locked door when calling or messaging host. Cleaning staff accidentally happened upon us outside, let us in, and got us a key. Broken shower. No terrace attached to the room. WiFi did not work. No response or contact from host during stay at all. Would not return and would not recommend.

This was our first stop on our first visit to Germany, and the bar was set very high by all of the folks we encountered through the hotel and restaurant! WOW! The staff was friendly, kind, helpful, and informative. Our room was lovely and instantly gave us the feeling that we were in the fairy tale Black Forest for real. The restaurant in the hotel was top notch, and we enjoyed the standard German breakfast offerings each morning. We even ate two of our dinners there, and found the food traditional, finely prepared, and delicious! Their Black Forest Cherry Torte was the best in town!! Well done!
