This secluded vacation rental, the second oldest home in Warren, is situated at the head-of-tide (the highest point up-river where the river is affected by the tide of the ocean) on the St. George River. This waterway is a working river with active anglers fishing for elvers and alewives in spring, and abundant wildlife including eagles, osprey, beaver, deer, and even the occasional snapping turtle. Bring your kayaks along and paddle down to Penobscot Bay right from your back yard. Inside, this three-story home features comfortable living spaces and a well-equipped, full kitchen with updated appliances and utensils. You'll also find a dining table for six for mealtimes or family game nights, high-speed internet access, and a private washer/dryer to help you stay on top of your laundry during your visit. And outside, the grounds offer a respite to lounge along the banks of the river where you can relax and enjoy your time here in Maine. <b>THINGS TO KNOW</b> Please note that the attached addition and deck area are not part of this rental. 1 dog(s), weighing 30lbs or less, are welcome in this home.
